Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS, Switch & Xbox One) starts today in Season 5. Three skins from the new Battle Pass have already been revealed via the Xbox One shop page!
Season 5 was kept strictly secret! Epic put in a lot of effort and tried to keep the contents of Season 5 of Fortnite under wraps until the last minute. Until the very end, fans were puzzled about what was coming and what the Viking, Western, and cat fox teasers meant.
Unfortunately, all the secrecy was in vain: The secret seems to have been revealed prematurely. Due to an error on the Xbox title page, the cover image for Season 5 was briefly visible. It clearly displayed three skins that will likely appear in the Battle Pass soon.
Viking Shieldmaiden, Cat Fox Mask, and Weird Survival Guy!
Which skins will be in Season 5? In the Xbox leak image, you can see three of the new characters that will likely become skins in the Season 5 Battle Pass.
The Cat Fox Guy
What can be seen? This skin is a blond, athletic guy with a mouthguard. He resembles a ninja a bit. He also wears the mask of the cat fox creature that you could already see in the first teaser for Season 5.
Interesting detail: He seems to take off the mask. Does this mean that masks will become a new interchangeable accessory alongside back pieces?
The Viking Shieldmaiden
What can be seen? This is a wild Viking warrior with the obligatory undercut hairstyle. Especially since the Vikings series, no Scandinavian pirate can be seen without this hairstyle. Her armor and clothing also remind one a bit of Ubisoft’s fighting game For Honor.
The Military Survival Guy
What can be seen? Actually, we expected a kind of cowboy as the third outfit. The Western theme has been teased many times after all. But here you see more of a kind of commando soldier who would fit wonderfully into Ghost Recon Wildlands or a modern Call of Duty.

The hour of the data miners: Just as the patch for Season 5 is underway, the data miners strike. The Buddies have been digging diligently and have unearthed the following images of skins and outfits:
- There do seem to be interchangeable headgear options, including a pure shark costume and a cowboy hat! And there seem to be various outfit options available again.
- In addition to Vikings and guys in hoodies, Luchador wrestlers are also involved!
- With the back pieces, there is once again total silliness. There is a shark fin, an inflatable unicorn, and even a penguin that strongly resembles the logo of the software giant Tencent.
- The gliders are similarly extravagant, especially the Viking ship!
- Highlight of the pickaxes: The Viking axe and pool noodles!
- Among the emotes, there are, among other things, calculations, stage bows, and a fishing emote.
