The new gameplay trailer for Chapter 6, Season 2 of Fortnite is here. It showcases what you can expect: explosive matches and real heists.
When does Chapter 6, Season 2 start? It will start soon, as the new chapter in Fortnite launches on February 21, 2025. After earlier first information about the new chapter was released, there is now also a gameplay trailer showing how it all will look.
Everything revolves around gangsters, crooks, and… cucumbers. At least the trailer is accompanied by the song of the rapping cucumber, which was already featured in the overview of the new Battle Pass skins for Season 2.
But the other characters, like the new Midas variant, Sub-Zero, or the cloaked wolf are also present in the new trailer and are evidently after big money. Because that seems to play a significant role.

What does the trailer show? The trailer presents a mix of gameplay and cinematic scenes that set the tone for the new chapter.
Basically, all characters are chasing after a bag of money and are at each other’s throats for it. Safe doors or transport trucks are blown up, and explosive items constantly fly around.
On the official Fortnite channel, it is also mentioned that you will encounter gold safes in “Crime City” among other things. So we can expect that heists will be part of the new gameplay.
Additionally, you can see the following things in the trailer:
- A grenade launcher with sticky grenades
- The gold transporters
- Safe doors that are opened not with keys, but with dynamite
- Motorcycles
- An exploding llama
- Possibly a merchant in the underground
- Dual weapons, possibly shotguns
- A laser weapon
- Sub-Zero with an ice attack, possibly a new mythical item
- A new weapon, a kind of giant drill
- An electric baseball bat
- The train, which has obviously received an upgrade.
Particularly striking is the train. Although it has been roaming the map in the past, it always offered little loot, which could be retrieved by waiting for a corresponding box. Now the train is equipped with numerous guns and seems to be enterable when blown up.
The new environment is also visible in the trailer, although it is still unclear where certain locations will land and to what extent the map will change. We will have to wait here, but there are still a few days until the new chapter starts.
It is unusual for Epic to release the associated gameplay trailer so early. It is quite possible that more information will emerge in the coming days before the season starts.
