The new update 6.10 will bring new content to Fortnite today, on October 16. The servers will be offline on all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android). When are the servers down and when will Fortnite be playable again?
First “major” patch since the start of Season 6: The new Season 6 has already been running for a few weeks. Time for the first major update, which will bring new content. As usual, you will have to endure a server downtime.
Fortnite servers going offline – When will they be back online?
When do maintenance work start? At 9:30 AM German time, matchmaking in the game will be disabled. Starting at 10:00 AM, you will be kicked out of all activities and the servers will enter maintenance mode.
When will the Fortnite servers be back online? If everything goes according to plan, you should be able to join again between 12 and 1 PM at the latest. Epic will also have patch notes available at the start of the downtime, which you can read as usual in a timely manner on MeinMMO.
What does update 6.10 bring for Fortnite: Battle Royale? If you like to take down other buildings, you will receive another toy from Epic after the Quad Rocket Launcher: The Quad RAM. This bulldozer-like vehicle can be used offensively to destroy enemy structures.
Will there be the possibility to gift skins? Dataminers have found out that it will soon be possible to gift skins. However, it is not known if and when this feature will actually come. But who knows, maybe Epic will introduce the feature today.
What does update 6.10 bring for the Save the World mode? According to a Reddit post from Epic, players can look forward to the return of the legendary automatic rifle, Grabber. This weapon was already available last year during the Halloween event. More details will be announced with the patch notes.
