Today, on August 23, 2018, the Fortnite servers will go offline for the update 5.3 on all platforms (PC/Mac, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, iOS). When will the servers be down? When can you start playing again? Along with the new Rift-to-Go, the annoying spike trap bug will also likely be fixed.
After the last few weeks without server downtime, Epic will once again take the services offline today and elevate Fortnite to version 5.30. While not all changes are known yet, some information has already leaked.
Fortnite Servers Going Offline – When Will They Be Online Again?
When does the server downtime start? Around 9:30 AM German time, player matchmaking will be disabled. The Fortnite servers will then go offline at 10:00 AM.
When will the Fortnite servers be back online? Experiences from the last weeks and months suggest that Fortnite should be available again between 11 AM and 1 PM. When it will be time and what the patch notes hold for you, you will find out as usual at Mein MMO.
What Update 5.30 Brings for the Battle Royale Mode: The Rift-to-Go is coming and will represent a mobile version of the rifts scattered across the map. This is how the “Rift-to-Go” could work. An annoying bug with spike traps not triggering is also expected to be fixed today.
Whether there will be additional bug fixes and new features remains unknown.

Will the Road Trip skin be found in the data today? In the last Season 4, the blockbuster skin was discovered two days before the final required challenges in the game files that were released with the last update.
Has Epic found a way to hide the skin from the dataminers?

What can Save the World players look forward to? According to Epic’s roadmap, the thunder cannon will make its way into the game with the update 5.30. In addition, the third round of the weekly horde challenges will be initiated.
Players are still complaining about missing mission rewards. What you can do in such a case, Epic has described in a corresponding Reddit thread.
Are you looking forward to the update? What do you want to do with the new Rift-to-Go?
