Patch Notes for OG: Season 2
New Map
Fortnite is bringing back the old map from Season 2 with the start of OG: Season 2. You will be able to revisit the well-known POIs from that time. The following can be found in the image from Epic Games.
New Weapons and Items from the Season 2 Meta
However, the old weapons and items from back then should not be missing either. You can expect the following in the new loot pool:
- Small Shield Potion
- Damage Traps for Multiple Surfaces
- Boogie Bomb
- Silenced Pistol
- Crackling Campfire
- Chug Jug
- Minigun
- Crossbow
- Impulse Grenade
New OG Pass
There will also be a new OG Pass. You will find three familiar skins in the new look. These include:
- Sparkle Specialist
- Cuddle Expert
- Loot Knight
You will also find new gliders, dances, and pickaxes among the skins. Anyone who owns the Crew Pass will receive the pass for free.

What happens during the server downtime? The servers will be shut down to upload a new update. During this time, you cannot play Fortnite.
Server downtime in Fortnite – from when? The servers will be shut down on January 31, 2025, at 10 AM. Matchmaking will be deactivated 30 minutes prior (via x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? That depends on the duration of the downtime. This is a somewhat larger patch, as it marks the start of OG: Season 2 and thus integrates new content into the data. So expect that you won’t be able to play for 1 to 3 hours.
When will patch notes be released? Epic Games only sporadically presents patch notes for updates and usually only after the downtime. As soon as they are available, you will read them with us.
