There are issues with Fortnite on Tuesday evening. Players report that Fortnite’s servers are down. The login apparently fails – there are disruptions in Fortnite. What is going on?
Update 7:05 PM: Surprisingly, there are issues in Fortnite tonight on January 29. Players report having trouble logging in.
This is not a regular server maintenance. There is no update pending or anything. The Update 7.30 already came this morning. Apparently, there are connection problems.
Epic says players are having issues accessing Epic Games services. They are investigating and working on a fix for the problem.

At 7:46 PM, Epic reported that the issues have apparently been resolved. They will continue to monitor the situation and will update if there are any changes.

What is happening today in Fortnite? The next major content patch is set to be released, which will bring maintenance work. After the downtime, you can look forward to new content in both Battle Royale and Save the World modes.
However, before that, you will have to endure some maintenance work. MeinMMO has all the relevant information for you!
Fortnite servers going offline – When will they be back online?
When will the maintenance work begin? Around 9:30 AM German time, you will no longer be able to join existing games. By 10:00 AM, you should have finished your match, as the servers will be shut down at that time. Fortnite will then be inaccessible.
When will the Fortnite servers be back online? Experience shows that Epic usually takes only a few hours to get the servers back up and running. Around lunchtime (between 12 and 1 PM), you should be able to log in again.
As soon as the servers are available again, you will of course find out on MeinMMO. Just like the patch notes, which will be available promptly at the start of the downtime.
What content could come with the new update?
What can Battle Royale players look forward to with Update 7.0? The new Ice Grenade will definitely come, which has already been teased in the game for some hours. The exact effect of the grenade is not yet known. However, the description suggests that it will function similarly to the ice traps.
Additionally, the Ice Storm event, which was responsible for the invasion of the ice zombies, is coming to an end. Therefore, you will no longer be able to complete event-specific challenges or claim rewards.
Will there also be bug fixes with the update? According to Epic’s own bug board, some bug fixes are coming, including:
- automatic shooting when using controllers
- movement errors with the plane after a collision and
- various issues with the zip lines will be fixed
Moreover, Epic should also release a new creation for “The Block”. We are excited to see what it will be!
This is what we can expect in Save the World with Update 7.30: The major highlight of today’s patch is undoubtedly the new Llamas that will show you what is inside before purchasing. These so-called X-ray Llamas will go live with today’s update.
What else PvE players can expect is not yet known.
