Good morning! You have less than half an hour to start your last round in Fortnite before the servers are disabled. So get ready.
What is happening today in Fortnite? Epic Games is conducting a server down, as almost every Tuesday. Patch 29.20 is set to be rolled out to bring new content like skins, weapons, and gear to Fortnite.
This time, according to leakers, an event pass for Avatar is to be added, allowing players to unlock new cosmetic content from the world of the Tamers. What you need to know about the server status and the duration of the server down is here.
Fortnite: Start and Duration of Server Down 29.20
Server Down in the morning – What you need to know: Epic Games has announced its server down for Fortnite and has set it for 10:00 AM German time. Matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes before the servers are turned off – so you will not be able to start any new rounds during this time.
When will the servers be back online? That depends on the size and scope of the update. If there are no complications, you can expect about an hour of downtime. However, it might be that the server down will not finish until 12 or 1 PM. We will keep you updated in that case.
When will the patch notes come? Epic Games is currently only sporadically releasing its patch notes for the “Battle Royale” mode. When they are available, they will only be released after the downtime. We will list them for you as soon as Epic Games releases them.
What content could appear with Update 29.20?
Aside from a small hint right before the update, Epic Games is not releasing any hints about upcoming content from the update. However, leakers have their sources and already have an idea of what content players can expect in the new update. The following is known (via x.com):
- New cosmetic items
- New Avatar event pass (on Friday)
- New mythical items for Avatar and new skins
- Rocket Racing Season 1
- New shop tabs
- Maybe new collaborations
- Maybe the tactical AR from the vault will return
- and more!
That was all the important information about the upcoming server down. Are you excited about the update? Feel free to let us know your wishes for the upcoming Avatar event in the comments!
