Epic Games hosts events in Fortnite from time to time, where you can get free cosmetic items. Now, old or new players are being brought out of their slumber to participate in the ‘Refer a Friend’ event. How you can do this and what you need to do is explained here at MeinMMO.
What is this event about? In this event, you can connect with other players who have not played Fortnite for a while or are new to the game.
If none of your friends play Fortnite, we will show you a way to still get the items.
Refer a Friend – Many items for racing fans
The items in this event are themed around racing. They are brightly colored and wrapped in a chrome style.
These items can be earned:
- Loading screen “Street Action”
- Wrap “Colorful Shine”
- Glider “Color Ride”
- Pickaxe “Steering Bat”
- Outfit “Rainbow Racer”
How do I get them? To do this, you need to connect with a player. You do this by going to the Fortnite Refer-a-Friend page. There, you sign up and connect with a player of your choice. Note that you must be friends with this player.
To qualify, this player must have spent less than 120 minutes in any mode for the past 30 days. If the specified time is exceeded, you cannot connect with your chosen player. This player must then accept your invitation.
Once you have completed this whole process, here’s what you need to do:
- Loading screen – Connect with a player
- Wrap – Play 1 game with your friend in Fortnite
- Glider – Land in the top 10 with your invited friend 3 times
- Pickaxe – Eliminate 10 opponents with your friend
- Outfit – You and your friend must both level up by 60
When does it end? The registration period is from October 25 at 4:00 PM to November 15 at 4:59 AM. After that, you can no longer connect with players and will be excluded from the event.
If you still manage to link up, you and your buddies have until January 11, 2022, at 5:59 AM. By then, you should have claimed all rewards; otherwise, the opportunity will be gone.
How can I benefit without friends? Some of you may be wondering how you can participate without friends who play Fortnite. Either you convince one of your friends to endure this or you look for players in the Discord of ‘Fortnite Germany‘.
In this, you can find players who, like you, just want to grab the rewards. Maybe this will also lead to new acquaintances or friendships. You can also use the Discord server just to find people for activities.
