Fortnite was nominated for the Game Awards 2019. They announced that they would make an important announcement during the awards. What could that be?
What happened? Epic Games was nominated for the award: “Best Community Support”. The game Fortnite was nominated for 3 awards: “Best Ongoing Game”, “Best Esports Game” and “Best Esport Event (World Cup)”

What could this announcement be?
What could Epic Games announce? It is still unknown what announcement they will make. However, there are already some speculations and theories. We have summarized a few speculations for you.
1. Will Save the World finally be free?
Could the PvE mode finally become free? The “original” part of Fortnite: Save the World was supposed to become free in 2018, but it was postponed.
Even at the start of Chapter 2 in Fortnite, players thought Save the World would finally become free. After all, the PvE mode was also inaccessible during the black hole.
Could the big announcement finally be the good news that many have been waiting for? The following things would speak for it:
- Save the World received many updates with new content in recent weeks
- The Fortnitemares will disappear with the next update and a new storyline could begin
- With the new locker usage, Save the World and Battle Royale are becoming more connected
2. Is Block 2.0 coming?
