In Fortnite, the jump pads have finally returned with the latest update. However, a player found a nasty bug that could cost you the victory. We will show you which bug was found.
This is the situation: With the launch of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 in October 2019, all means of transportation were removed. Only the motorboat could be used for mobility.
The pro player Ninja wished for more mobility in Fortnite.
Ninja’s wish was granted when the launch pads were pulled out of the vault with update 11.50. However, the jump pad could cost you your well-deserved victory and lead to an embarrassing death, at least that’s what happened to an unfortunate player.
Player Finds Nasty Jump Pad Bug
This was the bug: A Fortnite player wanted to use the jump pad to escape from his opponents. However, he encountered a nasty bug that complicated his plan.
The player PuppyScrubber17 was in a Fortnite match. He presumably wanted to place a jump pad. He was able to place the jump pad, but the vent that was there was not destroyed.
Normally, objects should be destroyed by placing the jump pad.
The player still tried to use the jump pad. But despite several attempts, it was not triggered and he could not jump.
To his great misfortune, he was spotted by an opponent, who also shot at him. Now PuppyScrubber probably wanted even more urgently to jump on the jump pad to fly to safety.
He destroyed the vent that was blocking the jump pad. But this could no longer help him. He was eliminated.
Who is affected by this bug?
Are all platforms affected? The player who found this bug plays on the Xbox One X, as he reports under the post on Reddit.
I, Eilyn, have tried it myself to see if I can reproduce this bug. However, I was able to place the jump pad under an object without any problems. I play on the PlayStation 4.
It is therefore difficult to say whether this bug does not always occur or if only certain platforms are affected or if specific circumstances need to be met.
But if you encounter this nasty bug, it can really cost you the victory and lead to a really embarrassing death.
