Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS, Android, Switch & Xbox One) receives an update for Patch 5.4. The special thing is: The Tommy Gun (Drum Gun) is leaving Fortnite.
After a small interim patch this morning, the big update 5.4.2 is finally here. You can expect a new weapon as a highlight, the farewell of a popular other gun, and some cool innovations in the PvE mode “Save the World”.
The Highlights of Patch 5.4.2 for Battle Royale
- New Weapon “Suppressed Assault Rifle”: The new weapon is now available in the game. It is particularly well-suited for sneaky campers to strike silently and precisely from ambush. Its stats are:
- Damage: 32 – 33
- Rarity: Epic and Legendary
- Availability: Ground spawn, vending machines, treasure chests, and supply drops
Drum Gun no longer in Fortnite after the update
- Drum Gun is leaving: Unfortunately, with the current update, a popular weapon is leaving the game. The popular Drum Gun, also known as “Tommy Gun” or “Drum Gun” in Fortnite, is no longer in the game. It is “vaulted” for the time being and may return at a later date.
The Highlights of Patch 5.4.2 for Save the World
- Weekly Horde Challenge 6: This time you have no shields and must fend off hordes of Assassin Zombies.
- New Hero “Agent Rio”: This new hero resembles the Battle Royale skin “Rook”. She is available as a reward from the Horde Challenge. Rio is a version of the Explorer class in mythic quality. Her special ability is a phase rifle that pierces enemies.
- Phantom Assault Rifle in the Shop: From September 13 at 02:00 to the same time on September 20, this weapon will be available in the weekly shop. The rifle is suppressed, accurate, and deals good headshot damage.
