What’s happening today in Fortnite? In Fortnite, Epic Games shut down the servers for update 26.00. All players are now eagerly awaiting the new content and can hardly wait to play a round in Season 4. However, to know what new content Epic Games is planning, we have listed the official patch notes for you.

When can I play Fortnite again?
When and how long will the downtime last? This is still unknown. Many players are wondering since the downtime when the servers will be active again.
Competitive Notes
Please also note that the following features will not be available in tournaments:
- Impulse grenade
- Shockwave grenades
- Nitro Fang
- Reality augment “Get out of here quickly”
New Quests: Survivor
In addition to the weekly and daily quests, there will also be a quest line for survivors. Your task is to survive as long as possible and eliminate a certain number of opponents. Your tasks start easy but become harder as you progress.
If you complete quests, you will be assigned a rank:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
- Exotic
- Mythic
If you unlock the rank “Common 1”, you will receive the back bling “Appreciated Llama” as a gift. As you rank up, you will unlock new styles.
New Feature: Storm Predictions
Starting Season 4, there are various towers occupied by guards. If you raid one of these towers, you will receive a key card with data about the storm. Now you can scout all storm phases until the end of your round.
New Weapons
With Season 4, 4 new weapons are coming to the pool:
- Infiltrator shotgun
- Scoped submachine gun
- Dual mag assault rifle
- Rocket ram
But old weapons have also made it out of the vault, including:
- Midas drum gun
- TNTina’s Kaboom bow
- Ocean’s enormous juice cup
- Kits charge shotgun
- Kits shockwave launcher
- Zigs and Choppy’s beam
- MK-7 assault rifle of the foundation
- Gunnar’s stickler submachine gun
- Remote detonation
- Silenced sniper rifle
- Silenced pistol
New Vehicle
In Fortnite, there is a new car – the Nitro Fang – since Season 4. This vehicle is equipped with a nitro feature that allows you to dash away from your pursuers more easily. Don’t worry, there is also a handbrake, so you can drift more easily and shake off your enemies.
New and Old Reality Augments
Season 4 also offers you a large selection of new reality augments. The following are known:
- Get out of here quickly
- EVERY container you open contains one of the items from raid bags.
- Sniper Sucker
- Sniper rifles give you health or shields when you deal damage to opponents.
- Last Shot
- Not only does it give you ammunition immediately, but it also makes opponents drop more ammunition than usual.
- Super Shotgun
- The first shot from shotguns deals more damage.
- Gunslinger
- Your pistols have a lower rate of fire but deal more damage.
- Agile Fishing
- Swim faster and instantly collect loot from fishing spots as you swim through.
However, old reality augments have also made it into the loot pool. You can expect the following:

- More Parkour
- Rarity Multiplier
