In Fortnite today, on October 10th, the servers went down on all platforms (PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, Android). The maintenance was used to upload update 26.30 to the servers.

New tasks for Fortnitemares: Fortnite offers new tasks for Halloween that you can complete for free items.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Complete 5 “Fortnite: Nightmares” quests to earn the back accessory “Bat Royale” and the banner symbol “Cat”.
- Complete 15 “Fortnite: Nightmares” quests to receive the emote “Sweet Sweet Victory!”, the contrail “Deceptive Fall”, and the spray “Hypno Bat”.
- Complete 25 “Fortnite: Nightmares” quests to earn the glider “Revenant Glider”, the loading screen “In the Sacred Inner”, and the lobby music “Rise of the Revenant”.
Horde Rush is back, with new rewards: The popular Halloween mode “Horde Rush” is back with unique rewards.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Complete 1 Horde Rush quest to receive the wrap “Murkiness”.
- Complete 4 Horde Rush quests to receive the emoticon “Heart Pumpkin”.
- Complete 7 Horde Rush quests to receive the pickaxe “Bone Wings”.

- Icy Slide
- Sprint Reloading
Quick Weapon Action: A new feature has been added in BETA, called “Quick Weapon Action”.
OS9 will soon be unsupported: Android devices with OS9 will no longer be able to play Fortnite starting with update 28.00. You will need to update your device to the latest version. Alternatively, you can access Fortnite through streaming platforms.
Competitive Notes
- The Wooden Stake Shotgun, Thorne’s Vampire Blade, the Cube Grenade Launcher, the Witch’s Broom, and the Sweets will not be available in tournaments.
- The reality expansions Playtime, Icy Slide, and Sprint Reloading will not be available in tournaments.
Bug Fixes
- A bug was fixed that caused trees to not render correctly.
- Exclamation marks will now be removed as intended above the quests tab.

What’s happening today in Fortnite? Epic Games is taking down the servers of Chapter 4 Season 4 to upload a new update. According to leakers, this update is expected to add the Halloween event and new skins.

Fortnite: Server Down – When and how long are they offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: According to Epic Games, the servers are expected to be taken down at 09:00 AM German time. Matchmaking will already be disabled 30 minutes prior, so you won’t be able to search for new rounds starting at 8:30 AM.
When can you play again? This is a major update. It is likely that Epic Games could restart the servers at 11:00 AM or even as late as 1:00 PM. However, this is not confirmed.
When will the patch notes come out? Epic Games usually releases a brief list of patch notes on their site after the update. If that happens, we will list them here briefly and clearly.
What content could appear with update 26.30?
