In Fortnite went down today, on June 20th, the servers on all platforms (PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, Android). The maintenance work is being used to load update 25.10 onto the servers.
The update is available for PS5 and is 6,232 GB in size. We have also presented the latest leaks. Open the gray box for that.
What new content does update 25.10 bring?
New items for combat: Fortnite has received new items with update 25.10 and removed things from the vault. These include:
- Cloaking Gloves
- Temporarily makes you invisible
- There is also a mythical variant from the boss “Wildwatch Relic”
- Relics MK-Alpha Assault Rifle
- A mythical variant of the assault rifle
- Can be obtained from the boss “Wildwatch Relic”
- Flare Gun
- Can locate enemies and set buildings on fire
- Enemies covered in mud cannot be located
- Shockwave Grenade
- This grenade is only available in the Zero Build mode
New augments: New reality expansions have also made it into Fortnite. These include:
- Mud Battle
- While you are in mud or covered in it, you regenerate health and shields.
- Larger SMG Magazine
- Your submachine guns have an increased magazine size.
Additionally, the reality expansion “Hunting Gear” has been taken out of the vault. This gives you an immediate flare gun.
Other updates:
- Chickens and air jellyfish are entering the vault.
- The population of wolves and wild boars has been reduced.
- The frequency of fishing spots has been reduced.
Ranked – First Reset: The ranked mode has been reset for testing purposes for the first time. You now have a reduced rank. Your progress with urgent missions is not affected.
Superstyles are active: As in every season, superstyles for your battle pass skins have also been activated in season 3 chapter 4. You can now acquire them with your stars.

What is happening today in Fortnite? Epic Games is taking the servers of Chapter 4 Season 3 down to upload a new update. According to the developers (via twitter.com), the daily login rewards from the PvE mode will be removed.

Fortnite: Server Down – When and how long are they offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: The servers are expected to be taken offline by Epic Games at 09:00 AM German time. Matchmaking is already disabled 30 minutes before, so you will not be able to search for new rounds from 8:30 AM.
When can you play again? This is a major update. It is likely that Epic Games could bring the servers back online at 11:00 AM or even 1:00 PM. This is not confirmed, though.
When will the patch notes be released? Epic Games usually publishes a short list of patch notes on their site after the update. If that happens, we will list them here briefly and clearly.
What content might arrive with update 25.10?
Epic Games reveals hardly any new information about upcoming content before a new update. However, trustworthy leakers like Shiina have been keeping an eye on the data that is hidden from normal users for a long time and know approximately what you can expect this time. You can expect the following things:
- New cosmetics
- New collaboration – Fortnite X Nike
- Cosmetic items for summer
- Super-styles for the battle pass skins
- New augments (maybe)
- Reset of the ranked mode
- Shockwave grenade for the “No Build” mode
- Crew skin for July
