In Fortnite the servers will be down today, November 1st, on all platforms (PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, Android). The maintenance work will be used to upload the new update 22.30 to the servers. Preliminary patch notes for the update can be found here.
What’s happening today in Fortnite? Once again, the servers in Fortnite are going offline. Halloween is over, and with it, the spooky atmosphere. Calm returns to the Battle Royale, but not for long.
The story behind Season 4 continues, bringing new possibilities for storytelling. Patch 22.30 could thus bring new quests, items, weapons, and more to the map, preparing you for the upcoming “Nothing”.
Patch Notes for Update 22.30
Skywalker Week: Since patch 22.30, Skywalker Week has been active in Fortnite. Not only have three new “Star Wars” skins appeared in the shop, but also quests with which you can earn XP. In addition, special boxes appear on the map that contain weapons from the “Star Wars” universe. Get ready, as the dark side must be stopped.
The Pulse Rifle is back: The Pulse Rifle from Chapter 2 has been reintroduced into the Fortnite weapon pool. Additionally, the Scrap Shotgun is also back, allowing you to easily tear down buildings. You can find both weapons either on the ground or in regular or rare boxes.
Chrom Punk gives you a skin: Halloween is over in Fortnite, but the gifts continue. Thanks to the Chrom Punk quests, you can earn cool items and even a complete skin for free. Here’s what you need to do:
- Level up 10 Account Levels (until January 1, 2023 at 06:00 AM CET)
- Reward: Back accessory “Chrom Seed”
- Level up 25 Account Levels (until January 1, 2023 at 06:00 AM CET)

Fortnite: Server Down – When and how long is it offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: According to Epic Games, servers are expected to go down at 9:00 AM German time to install Update 22.30. Matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes prior, so you won’t be able to search for new rounds from 8:30 AM.
When can you play again? Servers are usually offline for several hours during such maintenance work, and playing is then not possible. The downtime is expected to last between 30 minutes and 2 hours. This has been shown by updates from recent weeks.
During such maintenance work, there can also always be technical issues, bugs, and delays. If such complications arise, we will report them to you immediately here.
When will the patch notes be released? Epic Games usually publishes a short list of patch notes on their site after the update. If this happens, we will list them for you here briefly and clearly.
What new content does Update 22.30 bring?
What’s new for the Battle Royale mode? So far, we don’t know anything concrete, but leakers have often proven to be a reliable source with their predictions. According to Shiina, this is what you can expect:
- The Harbinger will be unlocked along with additional cosmetics
- New weekly quests
- Possible news about Luke Skywalker
What do you think of today’s update? Are you excited about what Epic Games has prepared after Fortnitemares? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
