What is happening today in Fortnite? Epic Games held a big live event for the end of Chapter 6 Season 3, in which players fought against a huge tentacle monster. The consequences: a plague of insects that you must eliminate.
With new items and weapons, you now navigate through the changed map and try to save the island. But to know what has changed in patch 37.00, we have compiled the patch notes for you.

The map of Chapter 6 Season 4
In the patch notes, Epic Games revealed their new map. All new POIs are listed in this. Additionally, you can now take a closer look at the individual biomes that Epic Games has implemented. The following new locations can be visited upon your landing:
- Ranger’s Ruin
- The Hive
- Swarmy Stash
- O.X.R. HQ
New enemy types: The bugs
In Season 4, in addition to normal players and bots, bugs will also make your life difficult. They have landed on the island and appear in three variations:
- Swarmers
- Fast, agile bugs that will try to prevent your advance on the nest.
- Bombers
- Large bugs that burrow into the ground and appear behind you to slime you.
- Queen
- The alpha of the nest. They are as big as buildings and appear when you have almost wiped out the nest.
New support: O.X.R
With the start of Season 4, you automatically work for the O.X.R. Whether you are fighting pests, eliminating players, or looting chests – you increase your O.X.R. rank. Once you have been able to increase your rank, a landing capsule will be sent to you by the O.X.R. to provide you with new weapons and items.
New weapons and items from O.X.R. and the bugs
With Chapter 6 Season 4, new firearms also come to the loot pool. Among them are large weapons from the O.X.R. armory and from the bugs. You can expect the following weapons:
- Bug Cannon
- Rollie Bug
- Cleanup Shotgun
- O.X.R. Rifle
- Slug Revolver
- Swarm Shot Rocket Launcher
- Lead Spitter 3000
- Blade Blaster
- Eradicator O.X.R. Rifle
- Double Trouble
- Shock & Heavy Shockwave Launcher
- Precise Shotgun
- Exotic Thrust Juice Spritzer
Additionally, there will also be a new means of transportation, the Hammerhead-Chopper. It is supposed to appear later in the season, but with it, you can shoot from the helicopter and transport other players.
New buffs: Blessing of the super soldiers and insects
The fight against the insects should of course also pay off, and it will. There will be various blessings that will strengthen your character on the island. With these blessings, you either receive more ammunition for your weapons or increased movement speed. The following should be known:
- Aiming Agility Blessing: While aiming with the scope, recoil and spread while shooting are reduced and your movement speed is not as severely reduced.
- Magazine Enlargement Blessing: Increases magazine size for all weapons.
- Storm Prediction Blessing: The next storm eye is always revealed to you.
- Rank-Dependent Super Soldier Blessing (only available in O.X.R. landing capsules):
- [Super Soldier Blessing: Rank B] Reduces energy consumption while sprinting.
- [Super Soldier Blessing: Rank A] Ability from Rank B and increased reload speed.
- [Super Soldier Blessing: Rank S] Abilities from Ranks B and A as well as reduction of recoil and spread of weapons.
- [Super Soldier Blessing: Rank S+] Abilities from Ranks B, A, and S as well as increased sprint speed and unlimited energy.
- Defeat the queen at The Hive to receive the mythical improved shotgun and the Thrust Medallion that increases your movement speed and accelerates you while sliding.
- Defeat the queen at Ranger’s Ruin to receive the mythical tactical shotgun and the Feather Medallion that allows you to perform double jumps and be immune to fall damage.
- Defeat the queen at Demon’s Domain to receive the mythical O.X.R. Assault Rifle and the Carapax Medallion that grants you 50 health when eliminating opponents and restores 3 shields per second until you reach 50 shields.
Some of these blessings can be found in O.X.R. chests and nest sacks, while others can be purchased from the O.X.R. armory. Similarly, you can only obtain the bug medals from the bug bosses.
