60 FPS, new hand cannon, and turbo building mode – the main highlights
The main highlights of the patch at a glance:
- A 60 FPS mode for Fortnite Battle Royale is coming. PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X now have this mode. It should make the game much smoother. Epic says: The mode is individually optimized for each of the 4 consoles.
- Battle Royale will also get a turbo building mode. Building should be easier this way. In this article, we explain turbo building: How Fortnite revolutionizes the building mode! From today, you build turbo
- Also, a new hand cannon, which is available for both Battle Royale and Save the World. This was not entirely clear before. The hand cannon is available in epic and legendary, it fires heavy ammunition.
- The nerf for the “Double Pumpguns” is also included in update 3.0.0
- The PvE mode “Save the World” will also receive a hoverboard. It moves at high speed across the map, and using it does not consume energy. However, you will fly off the hoverboard if you take damage. You will obtain the hoverboard in Fortnite through a new tutorial quest series that starts after Storm Shield Defense 5 in Stonewood.

- The PvE mode will be enriched with a new orchestral soundtrack with this update. They have recruited the film composer who also worked on the Wolverine movie “Logan”.
