The shooter Fortnite is set to release the new patch 2.4.2 tomorrow on Thursday. Today, we have the patch notes for the update. We show you what’s in the update: Beware, love is in the air. Additionally, the shooting test will be changed and a V-Bucks glitch in Fortnite will be addressed.

These are the German patch notes for 2.4.2, published by Epic Games. The patch is expected to be released on February 8 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

It’s mainly about the new mode “Shooting Festival”, some bug fixes, and a new weapon is coming to Fortnite Battle Royale, a crossbow.

Patch Notes – 2.4.2 Battle Royale

GENERAL

The limited-time mode Shooting Test 1 can only be played solo.
- The shotgun headshot damage has been increased to 200% (previously 150%).
- The assault rifle with scope is now 100% accurate at zoom.
- The damage of the scoped assault rifle is no longer reduced at long distances.

Bug Fixes

Players no longer slide off roofs.
The boxes in the shop have been fixed, as they disappeared when V-Bucks was purchased beforehand.
The inconsistent collision at some corners in basements has been fixed.
A hole in the terrain south of Retail Row has been fixed.

WEAPONS

Crossbow
- This weapon fires arrows, of which you have an unlimited supply.
- Found on the ground and in chests.

SAVE THE WORLD (PVE Mode of Fortnite)

This week’s patch notes are a bit light, but there are still updates! We have much more planned for the coming weeks. This includes, among other things, quests, events, bug fixes, and improvements to usability. If all goes well, the patch will be on the servers tomorrow. The bigger updates for PvE are set to follow – it sounds like 2.5.0 with the Valentine’s Day event for PvE will be released next week.
