To Fortnite: A patch for update 9.10 has been released. In it, you get the new salvo submachine gun and have to give up an old SMG.
This is included in the new update for patch 9.10: The highlight of the update is a new weapon, the previously leaked salvo submachine gun (Burst SMG). There is also a new Dino Hero and game mode for Save the World, the PvE mode of Fortnite.
Overall, it’s a rather small patch. But perhaps something else will happen that we don’t know about yet. An event regarding a monster in the ice might be coming soon.
The features of the update to patch 9.10 in PvP
New weapon – Salvo submachine gun: As already known, you now get a new submachine gun that fires in salvos of 4 bullets. It is optimized for close range and has the following stats:
- Availability: common, uncommon, and rare
- Damage: 23, 24, and 25; headshots count with a multiplier of 1.75
- Ammunition: Light rounds
- Magazine: 24
Weapon changes – Silenced SMG: The silenced submachine gun is back out of the game and is moving into the vault. The new SMG thus replaces this SMG classic.
New limited-time game modes: The following modes are temporarily in the game:
- Pure Gold (Duos): There are only legendary weapons!
- Out of the Vault (Teams): Only weapons that are otherwise not in the game.
- Close Quarters (Teams): Only shotguns and jetpacks
Gameplay changes: In the Teams of 4 mode, there are now 4 hotspots with loot drones.
This is changing in Creative mode: The new SMG is now also available in Creative mode, as well as parts for a mine theme.

New War Games – Cursed: Here you are cursed and must activate ancient statues to get rid of the effects.
New Hero – Fossil Southie: This new hero regains energy when he has no shields. Available in the shop starting May 30, 2019, at 02:00 our time.
