In Fortnite today a content update for the game version 9.10 is being released across all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android). What will be included in the patch? Will there be a server downtime? MeinMMO has the answers!
What can you look forward to today in Fortnite? As in every week, a new update is being released in Fortnite today. And yet, today is different. Because unlike usual, you will not have to endure a server downtime nor download a patch today.
This means that Epic can make the changes server-side, without having to modify anything on the client (that is, the game data on your consoles or PC).
When is the new update coming? The new content and features will be rolled out directly. Unlike previous weeks, this will not happen in the morning but will be done today in the afternoon at 2:00 PM German time.

What does the update bring for Battle Royale fans? There’s a lot happening in the competitive multiplayer mode. A giant eye has appeared at Polar Peak and likely announces new events. Whether we will see the monster after the update is still unknown.
Additionally, there will be a new submachine gun called “Burst SMG” that aims to compete with shotguns at close range. The weapon stats have already leaked.
Will another weapon disappear due to the Burst SMG? It is quite possible that Epic will vault another submachine gun due to the new weapon. Whether that will actually happen and which variant will be affected, we will only find out after the update.
What does the update bring for Save the World players? The PvE faction will also be supplied with new content today:
- A new dino-outlander comes as well as
- a new variant of the War Games (Cursed)
