In Fortnite you will soon dive back into combat either solo or with your friends. Epic has launched Season 1 of Chapter 5, and clever data miners have now also discovered more information about the new map. We will show you more about it.
What is happening in Fortnite right now? All players are currently stuck on the loading screen because of the server downtime and are eagerly waiting to finally be able to play Fortnite. Since the update file has already been released, clever data miners got to work on the new hidden content.
In the process, the new map was discovered, which players will use for several months until the next chapter. We show you a brief look at the new map in the game in the trailer:

New map with few changes
Has anything changed? The new map of Chapter 5 differs greatly from the previous maps that Fortnite introduces with each new chapter. Shiina, a well-known leaker for Fortnite, has extracted it from the data:
On the map, snow-covered mountains can be seen in the north, east, and southeast. They have some POIs that can be recognized based on buildings from a bird’s eye view. In the middle and the western part of the map, the snow disappears, revealing green meadows and trees. More POIs adorn the map, while the most striking is the new rail system.
In the new launch trailer for Chapter 5, players were able to hijack a train that was actively moving on the map. It remains exciting to see how the map actually plays out when players can move freely on it.
Whether the map will change in line with the upcoming winter event and be completely covered with snow is not known. However, it is quite possible that Epic Games has something planned for this, as leakers have already found clues in the data for a winter event.
