New map with few changes
Has anything changed? The new map appears unchanged at first glance. Twitter user and leaker “Shiina” posted the new map on Twitter.
Primarily, changes can be observed in the west and POIs that you may not have known before. They are:
- Nitrodome
- Sandy Steppes
- Brutal Beachhead
- Readline Rig
The change involves the wasteland that was previously unleashed onto the map through a small live event.
Why are there hardly any changes? The Pandora’s Box was opened by the statue of Olympus, unleashing evil along with it. Chaos could still alter the new map and cause further problems.
As Epic demonstrated in Chapter 2 Season 8, even slow changes can provide a lot of variety. Back then, a golden cube had caused trouble and moved across the map daily to initiate the plan of the Cube Queen.
But rest assured, because the familiar POIs like Olympus of the Gods or Grim Gate are still intact and can be visited by players. So enjoy the integrity of the map while it lasts, as it is likely not to last long.
