Fortnite starts tonight with its new season, but this time it will be different. Instead of kicking off Chapter 7, there’s a huge crossover with the animated series “The Simpsons.” New weapons, skins, and most importantly a new map will be introduced.
Where does the information come from? According to leakers, the new Simpsons season was supposed to be released on the evening of November 1st (source: x.com) along with all its details. However, Epic Games has invited various content creators to test the content before its release. Some of them are now reporting on the changes, including the new map.
What is changing with the map
What will change? Everything, because the entire Chapter 6 map is going into the content vault and will be replaced with the map of Springfield – the home of the Simpsons. What’s interesting is its design, because instead of the well-known 3D look of Fortnite, the map will feature a cell-shaded look, that is, the famous comic look. The YouTuber Littlest Snail Gaming shows in her new video what the map looks like:
Anyone who is a fan of the Simpsons will certainly feel at home, as many well-known places such as Moe’s Bar, The Aztec Theatre cinema, or the power plant where Homer always works are represented and recreated in detail. Various Easter eggs can also be found on the map, such as costumed bosses, including Homer in a devil costume.
Items from the universe of the yellow cartoon characters are also available, including the three-eyed fish, which give you a jump power-up to cover a large distance quickly.
The exact layout of the map has not yet been revealed, except in leaks, but it is very likely that Epic Games will publish this during the downtime tonight in a blog post. So stay tuned and don’t forget to be part of the live event tonight. Epic Games wants to celebrate the season change with a big spectacle.
