A Fortnite leak allegedly shows the pickaxe of the Mandalorian character. Players say another pickaxe would have been a better choice. Why?
Last month, Fortnite Season 5 of Chapter 2 launched, bringing a lot of content related to “The Mandalorian” into the game. In the current Battle Pass, players already receive the Mandalorian at level 1. Baby Yoda is one of the unlockable items for this character.
However, it seems that more content is on the way. A leak video now shows gameplay with a pickaxe that is allegedly supposed to belong to the Mandalorian.
Pickaxe for Mandalorian?
This is what the leak shows: On Twitter and Reddit, the video from leaker TwitchTilted is circulating. The functionality is the same as always. You use it to destroy buildings, harvest resources, or even bash opponents in critical situations.
The special thing about this leak is that with the pickaxe, the outfit for the Mandalorian is then complete and fully realized.
However, it is uncertain whether the harvesting tool will actually appear in the game like this or if the weapon is just a placeholder. Because the part looks like the Amban Sniper Rifle, which is already found as a weapon in the game. But first, take a look at the video to see what the leak shows exactly:
This is how players react: On Reddit , the leaked gameplay is being discussed by Fortnite players. They believe that Epic Games could make a better choice here if they released a different pickaxe for the character.
“That would have been a good second back accessory for the Mandalorian. They should definitely have made the Beskar spear his pickaxe. Missed opportunity,” writes SpaceDude213 on Reddit.
Others see the situation similarly and write: “I like it, but the Beskar spear would be even cooler.”
Keep in mind that at this point, it is still uncertain whether this will really be the pickaxe for the Mandalorian or if it is just a placeholder.
Hopefully, the new pickaxe will be fair. Because a superhero skin causes pay-to-win discussions in Fortnite.
