Fortnite Season 4 started with several superheroes from the Marvel Universe. In the meantime, more have joined. A leak now shows another hint about Captain Marvel, who might also be coming to the game soon.
What is going on in Fortnite right now? The new Season 4 has brought several heroes and items from the Marvel Universe to Fortnite. Now you can find Iron Man or Wolverine as NPC bosses on the map and can fight them.
But there are not only superheroes from the Battle Pass to be found, as further heroes like Silver Surfer or Blade came as skins to the item shop. So who else could come?
Captain Marvel soon in Fortnite?
This was found: A player has now found some hints about one of the next heroes in Creative mode. Various codes with the name “Cherry” appeared. Among the codes, you can see fireball-like particles that flicker, as seen in the Twitter clip:
According to the leaker, these are supposed to be hero abilities called “Firejump” and “Fireball.” However, since there is no superhero named “Cherry,” players are now wondering who it could be.
This clip was also shared on reddit, where a player points out the respective initials of these placeholder names.
“Cherry” is likely Captain Marvel’s codename. “Tomato” stood for Tony Stark and “Soy” stood for Silver Surfer. It would just make sense.

But not all players agree that it is Captain Marvel. Under both posts on Twitter and reddit, they comment, and some seem to see a hint towards Ghost Rider.
What superpower does Captain Marvel have?
The fire theme would actually fit both Marvel characters. Captain Marvel can fire “fireballs” from her hands that leave a similar “trail” on objects and floors as seen in the reddit clip.
However, Ghost Rider is literally engulfed in flames. But if you connect the theory to the initials, the hints seem to indicate an introduction of Captain Marvel and her special ability in Fortnite.
The Marvel superheroes not only fight against you, but they even fight against each other when you set them against one another. A player discovered this by chasing Wolverine all over the map and finally leading him to Iron Man.
