Dataminers have discovered an upcoming event for Fortnite . In the Nexus event, you might be able to decide whether one of 6 old items from the vault will return to the game.
What indicates the vote? The dataminer “Lucas7yoshi” has discovered a lot about the Nexus event in the current patch. He released a video that shows 6 well-known items from Fortnite that are no longer in the game.
The items are in the “vault” of Fortnite – where items that Epic has removed have landed, to revise them and possibly bring them back.
It is now suspected that players in Fortnite will be given the choice of which of these items they want back.
These are the 6 items:
- the Infinity Blade
- the Plane
- the Grappler
- the Tactical SMG
- the Bounce Pads
- or the Drum Gun

That’s why this event could be so interesting
Check out the find here: The dataminer posted a video on his Twitter account that hints at this event.
This would make the event interesting: If players can indeed decide which item they want to bring back into the game, then Epic pulls off a clever move.
Some of these items are controversial:
- the “Infinity Blade” dominated Fortnite for a short time and raised so much protest that Epic eventually removed the weapon after some hesitation
- the airplanes were a constant point of criticism during Season 7, as professionals found: Such items made it easier for “weaker players” to win
If Epic unilaterally brought these items back, the uproar would certainly be great.
However, if the community decides for the Infinity Blade, Epic can say: “You chose!” and be off the hook.
In the last weeks, there has been much criticism of Epic’s decisions, so it would now be wise to let the community vote. This way, they could better position themselves with the player base.
Where could the event take place? As a venue for the Nexus event, many players are guessing Loot Lake. There is currently massive work being done there and it seems that something big is about to happen.
Accordingly, some players also found a board that refers to a safe. The drawing on the board strongly resembles what is currently being uncovered in Loot Lake. It could therefore be a safe where the old items have been stored.
When does the event start? So far, these are only findings from dataminers. Epic doesn’t have to hold this event, which is considered unlikely. Things are currently fitting too well with the ongoing events.
If you look at the progress in Loot Lake and the detailed findings of the dataminers, we might be expecting the Nexus event soon.
Not only in Loot Lake could something happen. Tilted Towers is also at risk:
