In Fortnite you can now participate in a bootcamp where you will complete various challenges. For everyone who joins, there is a cool reward and a chance to win V-Bucks. We will show you how to get involved.
What kind of bootcamp is this? This is a community contest. Unlike a tournament where you must fight against each other on the battlefield, here it’s about completing various challenges.
The bootcamp takes place between Wednesday, August 19 and Sunday, August 23, 2020. All players from the regions: Germany, Austria, and Switzerland can participate in the contest.
How to get involved
What you need to do: In order to participate in the bootcamp and have your progress counted, you must register for the camp. To do this, go to the Fortnite Epic Games competition page.
On the page, you will find a large “button” where you can register by pressing it. Then simply log in with your platform or Epic Games account.
After that, you will be automatically redirected to the competition page for the bootcamp. There you will also find the challenges you need to complete.
Important: New challenges will be released every day. If you miss a day, you can catch up, but you must complete the challenges in order.
Your progress will be displayed immediately and updated every 30 minutes so that you have an overview.
Cool reward for the bootcamp
What is the reward? You can unlock the first free item by completing all 6 challenges that take place between August 19 and August 21.
If you succeed, you will receive the spray “Lamasplosion” as a reward. Here is what the spray looks like:
This spray could become one of the rarer sprays if players can only unlock it through the bootcamp. Rare sprays are sought after and some have even been sold for $300 on Ebay.
Win V-Bucks in the bootcamp
This is how it continues with the rewards: Players who successfully complete all 6 challenges qualify for the weekend competition.
Between August 22 and August 23, 2020, you will receive new challenges for the bootcamp. You will see these again on the competition website.
There are V-Bucks to be won that you can use to buy cool skins and accessories in the item shop. The top 5 places will receive between 1,500 to 2,500 V-Bucks. A detailed overview of the prizes for the placements can be found on the official Epic Games page.
This is how you see your progress in the competition: As soon as the weekend contest starts on August 22, the leaderboard on the website will be activated. There you can see how your placement stands. Only 20,000 players will receive a V-Bucks reward.
