In Chapter 2 of Fortnite there are challenges for “Alter EGO” that you can complete during Season 1 to unlock cool skins. In this overview, we show you how to solve the missions.
What is new? At the start of Chapter 2 in Fortnite, new Alter Ego challenges were added, which will accompany you throughout the season. By completing these challenges, you can unlock cool skin variants and a secret legendary skin.
In this article, we show you an overview of all Alter Ego missions and how to solve them. We will regularly update this article as soon as the next challenges are available.
How many challenges are there? There are a total of 7 missions, each with 3 phases. Most of the missions can be completed already.
Requirement: You can only complete the challenges if you own the Battle Pass of Season 11 (Chapter 2, Season 1).
How to complete the Alter Ego challenges in Season 1
The missions can be completed throughout the season once they are unlocked. They do not necessarily have to be completed within the active week.
What are the mission packages? These packages refer to the weekly challenges, where a batch of new challenges comes every Thursday.
One challenge package would be, for example, all missions of the new world or the open waters.
1. Mission for the skin Springtide
Phase 1, reach Level 1: This task is easy to complete. You just need to reach the first stage in the Battle Pass.
Phase 2, complete 2 missions: To complete this phase, you need to fully finish 2 challenge packages.
Phase 3, catch a fish with the Turk skin: For this task, you must equip the Turk skin and fish a fish out of the water.
2. Mission for the skin Danger Zone
Phase 1, reach Level 1: For this phase, you just need to reach the first stage in the Battle Pass.
Phase 2, complete 3 missions: For this phase, you need to have fully completed 3 of the challenge packages.
Phase 3, climb the highest mountain: For the last phase, you need to equip the skin Mountaineer and climb the highest mountain on the Fortnite map.
3. Mission for the skin Mud
Phase 1, reach Level 20: To fulfill the first phase, you need to reach Level 20 in the Battle Pass.
Phase 2, complete 4 missions: For the 2nd phase, you need to have fully completed 4 challenge packages.
Phase 3, jump into a Slurp barrel: In the last phase, you should jump into a Slurp barrel while equipped with the Sludge skin.
You can find these Slurp barrels at Slurpy Swamp in the large factory. Before you can jump in, you still need to destroy the lid.
4. Mission for the skin Toxin
Phase 1, reach Level 40: For the 1st phase, you only need to reach Level 40 in the Battle Pass.
Phase 2, complete 5 missions: To fulfill the 2nd phase, you need to have fully completed 5 mission packages.
Phase 3, heal a teammate with the bazooka: For the last phase, you need to heal a teammate with the Bandage Bazooka while equipped with the Recovery skin.
5. Mission for the skin Scratch
Phase 1, reach Level 60: For the 1st phase, you only need to reach Level 60 in the Battle Pass.
Phase 2, complete 6 missions: To fulfill the 2nd phase, you need to have fully completed 6 mission packages.
Phase 3, eliminate an opponent: For the last phase, you just need to eliminate an opponent while you have the 8-Ball skin equipped.
6. Mission for the skin Chic
Phase 1, reach Level 80: For the 1st phase, you only need to reach Level 80 in the Battle Pass.
Phase 2, complete 7 missions: To fulfill the 2nd phase, you need to have fully completed 7 mission packages.
Phase 3, spray colorful bridges: You need to spray a green, yellow, blue, red or purple metal bridge while equipped with the Cameo skin.
7. Mission for the secret skin Sorana
Phase 1, collect the letters: In the first phase, you should find the F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E letters that are hiding in the loading screen.

Phase 2, find the back accessory: For the 2nd phase, you should find the back accessory that is hiding in the Chaos Rising loading screen.
You will find it between the coordinates G7/G8 – H7/H8. When you go looking for it, you must have the Sorana skin equipped.
Phase 3, find the pickaxes: For the last phase, you should find the pickaxe that is hiding in the Chaos Rising loading screen.
