You can earn V-Bucks for many tasks in the game. Especially at the beginning of the game, you can rake in a lot by completing the following tasks:
- Complete your daily quests, which usually give you 50 V-Bucks
- Challenge missions reward you with 50 V-Bucks upon completion. Note that they are only available up to level 10, after which these rewards unfortunately disappear
- Some larger story quests also award 100 V-Bucks
- You can earn a particularly large number of V-Bucks, namely 500, at certain milestones in your collection book. So enter everything you have duplicates of or don’t need, and you will receive additional cool items like llamas, blueprints, and resources along with the bucks
Fortnite – Spend V-Bucks wisely
V-Bucks should never be spent lightly. You can always purchase a regular upgrade llama. It costs 100 bucks and contains 4 items. Approximately every 10 llamas it transforms into a silver llama, which contains double the number of items. About every 30 llamas, on average, a gold llama appears, which guarantees items in purple or even orange (legendary).
Especially useful are the super llamas, which – depending on the type – contain at least one legendary version of a weapon, trap, or character. Plus, there are 8 additional items. There is also a super troll llama that contains 20 randomly assorted items. Again, one item is guaranteed legendary, but it can be anything else.
Whether the troll llama is worth your money is up to you to decide, the enormous random factor can either delight you with a bit of luck or troll you hard. If you want to play it safe, save your bucks until a super llama is on sale and costs only 1,000 instead of 1,500 bucks. This way, you can get legendary items of the kind you really want.
