Season 5 of Fortnite (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) is coming soon. It is not yet known what the theme of the season will be. However, the blockbuster loading screen number 8 might provide an answer. At least it is becoming clear what the meteor from season 3 was about.

Every week, you have been able to unlock a new loading screen in Fortnite: The screens were rewards for completing the blockbuster challenges. The screens also told the secret story of Fortnite, including the surprising twist that the superheroes and villains from season 4 were actually just actors in a movie.
But it’s not just show. The two final loading screens could reveal the theme of the next season!
The 7th loading screen shows what was inside the meteor
The visitor probably came with the meteor: The 7th loading screen this week finally shows what was in the meteor that was racing towards the Fortnite world in season 3. It appears to be an alien: the visitor. In the new loading screen, he has just emerged from his capsule.
This is also the skin that diligent players can earn. But what’s next?
The 8th loading screen – Atomic rocket or alien invasion?
What is he doing at the rocket? Dataminers have already found the 8th loading screen. It shows the visitor, standing in front of a rocket.
The visitor seems to have traveled to the secret supervillain base at Snobby Shores. There he is tinkering with the rocket that has always been found there. But what does the visitor intend to do with the rocket?
Theories about loading screen number 8
So far we know the following:
- Someone has built a base around the meteorite
- Hop Rocks have splintered from the meteorite. This temporarily alters gravity
- Gradually, the rocks were loaded onto trucks and transported west, to the supervillain base at Snobby Shores.
- Possibly the rocket was equipped with them
So what could the visitor do with the rocket now? There are several theories about this:
- The rocket is an atomic weapon. He wants to nuke part of the map. This also aligns with the bunker that appeared in Wailing Woods at some point.
- The visitor wants to return home with the rocket. But why did he come here in the first place? Was his stay not voluntary?
- Perhaps the rocket is also meant to lure the visitor’s kind. Then there would indeed be an alien invasion.
- The rocket is to serve as a weapon, but instead of a nuclear warhead, it is supposed to release Hop Rock energy and create crazy effects.
Season 5 in Fortnite with aliens, even more superheroes, or Fallout theme?
Depending on what the visitor does with the rocket, the theme of season 5 may turn out differently. It could therefore be either an alien invasion or a post-apocalypse a la Fallout.
Or the developers may surprise us with something completely different. But it is considered certain that the visitor is involved, after all, he emerged from the meteor, which has so far been the major plot vehicle for seasons 3 and 4!
