The Fortnite World Cup 2019
This is how the World Championship is structured: There are 10 weekly qualifying rounds. These run from April 13 to June 16. Each week, 1 million dollars will be distributed among the players.
The top 100 solo players and the top 50 duos from around the world will gather from July 26 to 28 at the Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York. There is a prize pool of 30 million dollars.
The best solo player can take home the 3 million dollars.
How old do you have to be? To participate in the Fortnite competitions, you must be at least 13 years old. It is quite possible that a teenager comes home as a millionaire.
Smaller Events for Everyone
There is something for everyone: Until the end of 2019, there will be weekly tournaments with prize money of 1 million dollars for the community.
What kind of tournaments are these? These tournaments are meant to provide variety and will be designed with different modes and formats. More detailed information is not yet available.
Who organizes the tournaments? Selected partners will also be supported by Epic Games. These could be popular streamers who are helped with tournament planning and provided with prize money.
