The Update 13.30 in Fortnite is now here and brings map changes, hints about the new vehicles, and some bug fixes. MeinMMO shows you what has changed.
The patch notes for the battle royale mode in Fortnite have not been released by Epic Games. However, we summarize the biggest changes that have been noticed so far.
In the Save the World mode, there are some changes that will start soon.
Where are the vehicles?
What is different now? With the new update, some of the vehicles have disappeared from the map. In an email that Epic sent to content creators, they mentioned that the vehicles were removed because their “No Sweat” insurances need to be reviewed first.
However, it is still unclear when the vehicles will return to the game and when players will finally be able to drive them as shown in the trailer.
Gas Station Gets an Upgrade
What is new? The gas stations that were once small have now been revamped and upgraded. They now look more like gas stations where you could also refuel.
This could be another hint that the new drivable cars will be coming to the game soon. Data miners have found the statistics for the vehicles in the Fortnite data, indicating that you will likely need to refuel the cars to use them.
Bug Fixes
What is the status of the bugs in Fortnite? All bugs that have either been fixed or are still in the game are listed on the Fortnite Trello. These bugs are now shown as fixed:
- Water whirlpools temporarily disabled
- Supply drops cannot be opened at The Authority
- Floating rings not visible on low-resolution platforms
- Black triangles appear behind players when they turn towards the storm
- Gliding around The Authority does not work properly
All other bugs that Epic is currently working on can be found on the Fortnite Trello.
New in Save the World
New missions are being introduced: Starting from July 28, 2020, at 2:00 AM, a new mission system will be introduced, resetting progress. Seasonal missions will now take place, where players can face new challenges.
The first seasonal mission takes place in the “devastated wasteland” and brings a new quest line where you can unlock the hero “Burger Boss.”
Hero for Fortnite’s 3rd birthday: To celebrate Fortnite’s 3rd birthday, you can unlock the hero: Birthday Brigade Penny. She is available through the quest: Blast Off, starting from July 25 at 2:00 AM.
All further changes and new features in the Save the World mode can be found on the official Epic Games website.
While update 13.30 brought new hints about drivable cars, some map changes, and bug fixes, one bug is still in the game and players are discussing it on Reddit.
One player shared a clip showing that in-game names with Asian characters are causing issues in the game.
