The new update 6.21 brings a new item to Fortnite: Battle Royale today, Thursday, 01.11. To this end, the servers on all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android) will go offline. During maintenance, a patch will be available for download. When will the servers go offline and when will Fortnite be playable again?
Delayed patch: Fortnitemares are running and have brought new challenges to the game. Some lucky players managed to snag a decent boost in the Battle Pass for a short time.
The patch 6.21 was actually supposed to be released yesterday, Wednesday, but apparently there were problems and Epic had to postpone the patch.

Fortnite servers go offline – When will they be back online?
When does the server downtime start? Due to the time change, the player search will be disabled as early as 8:30 AM German time. From this point on, you will not be able to find new games. At 9:00 in the morning, the Fortnite servers will be completely down. You will have to take a forced break.
When will the servers be unlocked again? Since todayu2019s update only brings minor features to the game, the maintenance should not take too long. Around lunchtime, you should be able to get back in!
When the servers are back online, you will find out as usual on MeinMMO. Here you will also find the patch notes, which will be published just in time for the start of the downtime.

What does the new update bring for the Battle Royale mode? In addition to the already presented balloons, which bring another component to the vertical gameplay, Epic will probably work on minor bug fixes for the challenges of the Fortnitemares.
There are problems with the collection task, for which you have to complete challenges in the Fortnitemares, as well as with the quest to destroy cube fragments, as Epic recently announced via Twitter:
At least for the first problem, Epic has already provided a hotfix; the second bug should also be resolved with todayu2019s update.
What is new about the glider mechanic? Epic has adopted the glider mechanic from the height rush mode for all other modes. This was supposed to be a test that will now be extended, as Epic writes in a blog post. The results and feedback from players are “promising.”
Epic is now working on improving this feature. In the first step, glider sounds will be prioritized over weapon sounds depending on the distance. Epic continues to welcome any player feedback.

What can Save the World players look forward to? Currently, nothing has been announced for PvE players. Presumably, the second part of the nightmares will be released, with new items in the event shop and a new questline. However, we will only learn details after the release of the patch notes.
What do you think of the new update? Are you looking forward to the balloons?
