Today, on March 12th, the Fortnite servers on all platforms
(PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android) will be taken offline for maintenance. When will the servers be down? When can players log back in?
What will happen in Fortnite today? With game version 8.1, Fortnite will be upgraded to the next major version. What content exactly will come is relatively unclear, apart from a big ball with a toilet plunger attached. Before we can take a closer look, maintenance will be necessary.
Fortnite Servers Are Going Offline – When Will They Be Back Online?
When will the maintenance start? You should be logged into the game by 09:30 at the latest, after that no more matches can be created.
At 10:00, Fortnite will no longer be accessible. The servers will be completely taken offline to begin maintenance.
When can players log back in? Since this is presumably a smaller update, the maintenance should not be overly complex. Around lunchtime, you should be able to get back to playing.
When exactly the servers will be back, you will find out as usual on MeinMMO. Just like the patch notes, which we can provide shortly after the maintenance begins.
What does the update bring for Battle Royale fans? A new vehicle has already been announced – the “Baller!” This ball with a toilet plunger is already keeping the community busy, as the functionality is not fully clarified.
Many fear an improved quad ram, which taught builders to be wary. We will know more at the latest after the maintenance ends. Even a simple image presumably shows new items. Will we see more of that today?
And what do Save the World players get with update 8.1? Unfortunately, there is still no new roadmap for the “Save the World” mode. However, the downtime announcement in the subreddit was accompanied by the words “Beta storms are brewing.”
