Fortnite servers will be shut down – when will they be back online?
When exactly will the server maintenance start? At 09:30 AM German time, you will no longer be able to start new matches. This is to ensure that there are no open games at the start of the downtime.
At 10:00 AM German time, the servers will finally be shut down. Fortnite will no longer be accessible.
When will the servers be back online? Epic itself indicates the maintenance duration to be 2 hours, so you should be able to start again by 12:00 PM.
If the maintenance duration unexpectedly extends or shortens, you will be informed as usual on MeinMMO. Just like the patch notes for the new game version 8.0, which we will make available on time for the start of the server downtime.
Note: Epic has stated that you will need to download a larger update than usual today. So if you want to dive right back in, make sure to have a free internet connection!
