Today, on Tuesday, October 29th, the Fortnite servers will be down as usual on all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android) for a new update to be deployed. When does maintenance start, how long does it last, and what does the new patch bring? MeinMMO has all the info!
What is happening today in Fortnite? As known from previous years, Fortnitemares starts today, Fortnites Halloween event. It will bring new challenges and skins. It starts at 2 PM German time. However, you will have to undergo a scheduled maintenance beforehand.
Fortnite servers going down – when and how long?
When do the maintenance works start? Due to the time change in Germany, the times will be chaotic for at least a few weeks. Instead of 10 AM, the servers will be shut down already at 9 AM German time.
How long will the maintenance work last? Based on experience, the maintenance work shouldn’t take too long. By noon at the latest, you should be able to log in again, as long as there are no unforeseen issues.

What does the update bring for the Battle Royale mode? It is certain that Fortnitemares will return. It should start at 2 PM German time. Presumably, new challenges, skins, and decorations will come.
Furthermore, Epic might also give a weapon a Halloween effect again, just like they did with the rocket launcher, which they casually turned into a pumpkin launcher.
What does the update bring for PvE players? The Save the World faction was anything but pleased at the start of Season 11, as there were significantly fewer new contents compared to Battle Royale.
However, that should change today. PvE fans will likely receive new missions, challenges, and new items in the event shop as well. The new event is also entirely under the sign of Fortnitemares.
