Today, on Wednesday, the 13th of November, the Fortnite servers will be taken down across all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android) for a new update to be deployed. But what can players expect from the update? Probably not much.
What is going on in Fortnite? Since the beginning of Chapter 2 in Fortnite, the weekly updates such as weapons or game modes have noticeably decreased. Players desired this, not wanting to adjust to new tactics every week.
Unfortunately, Epic also remains silent about what will be changed during the maintenance of the Battle Royale mode. Players themselves have to go on a fact-finding mission. Even this week, there are few clues. At least we know when you will need to take a mandatory break for maintenance!
Fortnite servers are going down – when does it start? How long will it take?
When does the downtime start? Old maintenance veterans might already suspect: With a one-day delay, you may start your last round of Battle Royale today at 09:30 AM German time. At 10:00 AM German time, the servers will finally be taken completely offline.
How long will the servers be unreachable? If Epic doesn’t mess anything up, you should be able to hop back in around lunchtime. If any unexpected issues arise, you’ll find out here.
What about the patch notes? Unfortunately, Epic has been tight-lipped about the patch notes in recent weeks. Players have had to discover changes on their own. Whether this will change this week is questionable. However, if Epic publishes patch notes, you can read them as usual on MeinMMO.
What will the new update 11.11 bring?
What new things will there be in Battle Royale? Aside from some bug fixes, Epic unfortunately has not announced any new content for the competitive game mode. It is therefore unknown if new game modes will make their way to Fortnite.
What does the update mean for the Save the World mode? For PvE players, the situation looks different. New content is coming:
- Nightmare questline: Monster Bride (already available)
- Monster Constructor
- Sword of the “Black Metal” set
- Music pack for the locker
- Raven returns
