In week 9 of Season 1 Chapter 2, you need to complete a swimming time trial with a motorboat in Fortnite We will show you the locations of the swimming challenges from the “upcoming chaos challenges.”
What kind of challenge is this? In these “time trials,” you must complete a course within a specified time using a motorboat. This guide will show you all 4 locations on the map and introduce you to a time trial in detail.
A very similar challenge was available just last week. You had to complete swimming time trials at Lazy Lake and Hydro 16.
You will find swimming time trials at these 4 locations:
Swimming time trial with a motorboat – Misty Meadows
Where do you need to search? You will find the race north of Misty Meadows, near a small island. You should head there and start the swimming time trial.
At the coast of Misty Meadows, you will find a few motorboats. However, keep in mind that they do not always spawn in the same location. If you cannot find a boat, you need to look around the nearby area to see if you can find one.

What do you need to do? As soon as you approach the location of the time trial, it’s best to look for a motorboat nearby that you need for the race.
Get the boat and drive it to the start. The start will be indicated by a blue, glowing stopwatch. Get out of the motorboat to start the time trial.
Once the race has started, more stopwatches will appear to guide you. You should drive through these stopwatches to collect all checkpoints. If you miss a stopwatch, the task will not be completed.
As soon as you have passed the last stopwatch, a message will appear saying that you have completed the challenge. Afterwards, you can focus on the remaining tasks such as:
- Fly through rings at Steamy Stacks
- Dance at the green, yellow, and red metal bridge
- Find the XP drop from the loading screen
