Fortnite, the fun survival co-op shooter from Epic Games, now has over 1 million registered players. Additionally, the new game mode “Survival” is expected to arrive in August.
Fortnite is still in early access, but that doesn’t hinder the game’s popularity. In fact, thousands of players are buying the co-op survival shooter, even though Epic Games is charging a high price for the early access version. Currently, over a million players have purchased Fortnite and are enjoying the fun of battling zombies, setting traps, and building bases.
Fortnite – High Player Count and New Survival Game Mode
On Twitter, the developers announced the good news of breaking the million mark. But at Epic Games, they are not only celebrating the success. Soon, new content is also expected to be added to the game. A few days ago, developers spoke in a stream about new game modes.
The new game mode is supposed to be a kind of hardcore survival mode, where you are not just supposed to hold your position for a few minutes. Rather, in the survival mode, you should survive multiple nights in gameplay. A session in survival mode can last up to 3.5 hours and is expected to provide extra fat rewards.
To do this, survivors will have to build massive forts with all the trappings: death corridors, maze-like hallways, highly secured outdoor areas, trap systems – all that good stuff.
