The new Week 5 starts late and brings new challenges in Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC / Mac, Xbox One, PS4, iOS). What crazy things do you have to do this time? Where is the disco ball near Loot Lake? With our tips in this guide, you can easily complete all the challenges!
Originally, the new challenges were supposed to go live on Tuesday, which is the normal reset time in Season 4. However, due to a bug, the new tasks for Week 5 were not displayed. As Epic stated, the new tasks will be unlocked today, Thursday, May 31.
However, you do not need to worry that you will have less time to complete the tasks, as you can complete the weekly quests throughout the entire season.
Season 4, Week 5 – Here are the 7 challenges in Fortnite: Battle Royale!
As in the previous weeks, you have to complete various challenges and visit places that you usually wouldn’t go to. You need to complete the following “easier” tasks:
- Deal damage to opponents with submachine guns (500) – This task is self-explanatory. Especially at the beginning of a round, grab a submachine gun and mow down your opponents. Since a few updates ago, the suppressed version of the submachine gun has also become a strong option!
- Search treasure chests at Dusty Divot (7) – This task is likely not to be easy in the coming days. Many players will prefer to head to the crater to complete the task. You should save this quest for next week when the point of interest changes again.
- Use a vending machine (3) – Simply buy equipment from three different vending machines. To save resources, use only the machines that drop common items. Here on the map, you can see where vending machines are located in Fortnite.
Fortnite: Dance around the disco ball near Loot Lake – here’s how
- Dance with others to lift the disco ball near Loot Lake (1) – The disco near Loot Lake is your target. To complete the task, you must be a group of four. Each person should stand on one of the four platforms and start dancing. Now the disco ball should rise – and the task should be completed. You can find out how this works in the following video:
In addition to these “easy” tasks, you will also have to complete tough challenges that will advance you a whole level in the Battle Pass:
- Follow the treasure map from Greasy Grove (1) (HARD) – You can of course make the effort to search for the treasure on your own – or you can simply follow our guide, which will take you directly to the treasure!
- Eliminate three opponents with a minigun or an assault rifle (3) (HARD) – Even if you might not normally grab a minigun or a SMG – for this challenge, you have no other choice. Make sure the distance to the opponent is not too great and you can consistently land hits. Whoever focuses on hitting critically should complete this challenge quickly. Attention: The challenge is currently bugged and cannot be finished.
- Eliminate opponents at Lucky Landing (3) (HARD) – Land at Lucky Landing, grab a weapon, and take out your opponents who haven’t found one yet. You can combine this task with the submachine gun kills or the minigun / SMG kills.
What is the overall yield? Once you have completed all challenges, you can look forward to an additional 5 levels in the Battle Pass that will bring you closer to the Omega skin! In addition, you will unlock a new Blockbuster loading screen that will lead you to another hidden Battle Star – and thus another level in the Battle Pass.
