In week 1 of Season 8 in Fortnite , you should visit pirate camps, volcanoes, and a large face in the desert for the challenges. We will show you all the challenges.
Today marks the start of Season 8 in Fortnite, along with the first new challenges.
A lot has changed on the map of Fortnite. This also affects the challenges. You need to visit new locations.
Do you need the Battle Pass for the challenges? If you want to complete all 7 tasks from week 1, you need the Battle Pass. You could earn it last time. If you don’t have it yet, you need to pay the usual 950 V-Bucks. Without the Pass, you only have access to the 3 free tasks.

Challenge 1: Visit all pirate camps (7)
What do I need to do? In our guide, we will show you all the pirate camps in Fortnite:
Challenge 2: Search chests at Retail Row or Junk Junction (7)
What do I need to do? A typical collection task. Travel to these locations and search a total of 7 chests there. This does not have to be done in a single match.
Challenge 3: Deal damage with a shotgun and an explosive weapon in a match
What do I need to do? Grab the weapons mentioned and deal damage to opponents with them within a match. There are 3 different phases for this. So, quickly find at least one of the mentioned weapon types at the beginning of a match and shoot both at opponents. You do not have to eliminate them.
Challenge 4: Visit a giant face in the desert, the jungle, and the snow (3)
What do I need to do? In our guide, we will show you where to search.
Challenge 5: Use a volcano geyser in different matches (5)
What do I need to do? Volcano geysers are new in Season 8. When you walk over them, they will catapult you into the air. You need to use at least one geyser in 5 different matches.
Challenge 6: Eliminate an opponent with a shotgun, an assault rifle, and an explosive weapon (3)
What do I need to do? This task is a bit harder, because you need to take out opponents with the specified weapon types. If you play a few rounds, this should happen automatically. Make sure to have the mentioned weapon types in your loadout.
Challenge 7: Deal damage to a vehicle controlled by an opponent (200)
What do I need to do? Find a vehicle in a match that is being driven by an opponent. You need to deal a total of 200 damage to the vehicle.
