Fortnite will receive a small patch this afternoon. Various bugs are set to be fixed. Fans are especially hoping for two important fixes.
When is the update coming? Today, on January 31, 2019, a small patch for Fortnite is expected to be deployed to the servers at 1 PM our time. There is expected to be no downtime, but a client update is required.
So you need to briefly pause your game and restart the client.
What will be included in the patch? According to a tweet from Epic, the patch will address smaller bugs. However, fans already have clear ideas and wishes regarding what the patch should fix.
Problems with Ping and Replay Mode
These problems are currently plaguing Fortnite: Fans hope that Epic sees and fixes the following problems among the “smaller bugs”:
- Replay Bug: The replay mode, with which you can record funny videos among other things or take amusing screenshots, has been disabled due to issues. Fans are fervently hoping that Epic has fixed the problem and reactivates the replay mode with the patch.
- Ping Problem: Also annoying is a bug that leads to connection drops, even though everything is supposedly fine with the ping. Apparently, the servers miscalculate the ping for some players, which is likely behind the disconnections. Here too, one hopes for a quick solution through the patch.
This could also be in the update: According to Epic, a fix is currently in the works that addresses a bug where the loading screen is supposed to freeze on some PCs. So this update may also be included in today’s patch.
