The search for Fortbytes is a new feature of Season 9 in Fortnite: Battle Royale. We will show you what to do.
What is new? With the start of Season 9, Fortnite has unlocked so-called Fortbytes in the game. These are puzzle pieces resembling microchips that can be unlocked through various actions or found on the map.
How many Fortbytes are there? 100 Fortbytes can be unlocked. At the start of Season 9, the developers unlocked 18 at the same time. After that, one more is supposed to be unlocked every day.
What is it good for? In the game, it is read that you should collect the Fortbytes to decode a secret. This is its own challenge overview that you can find in the challenges.
Collecting 90 Fortbytes is also required for the Season 9 challenges of “Utopia”. This unlocks a legendary skin, the Utopia skin.
Along with the Utopia skin, there are also 5 more styles to unlock. To do this, you need to collect masks on the map. In an extra guide, we will show you the locations.

How to complete the task: For this Fortbyte, you need to travel to the small unnamed place, far south of the island. There is a house full of chairs.

Fortbyte #36 on an icy island
How to complete the task: Anyone who has unlocked the Sentinel skin can access Fortbyte 36. This works by purchasing the Battle Pass for Season 9. The skins Sentinel and Rox are immediately unlocked this way.
So choose the Sentinel skin and enter a match with it. Near Polar Peak, you will find the sought island.
