What happens to the characters created and the progress made in the Open Beta of For Honor? Will there be a wipe?
On February 14th, Valentine’s Day, the full version of For Honor will be released. However, many interested players are currently participating in an Open Beta running from February 9th to February 12th.
In it, you can create a coat of arms, test heroes, try out game modes, and participate in the faction war. After each match, you gain progress: you collect experience points and in-game currency called steel, which you can use to buy armor.
But what happens to all the achievements from the Open Beta? Will you retain any of them in the full version? The answer to this question is clear: There will be a wipe.
Wipe after the Beta – Players start from scratch
This means that at the launch of For Honor, the servers will be reset, and all players will start from scratch. Character development is an important game element, which is why the developers want to ensure fair conditions and not give anyone an advantage.
By the way: There was already a wipe after the Closed Beta. In other words, everyone had to start from scratch again in the Open Beta.
However, all “Open Beta” participants who advance the faction war will receive exclusive rewards in the form of special symbols and frames, which you can use to beautify your coat of arms.
