Today, on August 15th, Season 3 of For Honor begins. Update 1.11 is live. Patch notes.
Ubisoft’s melee game For Honor kicks off the third season today on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A content update with version number 1.11 has just gone live, and it can be downloaded now.
What new features does Update 1.11 bring? – Patch Notes
Season 3 introduces two new heroes:
- Highlander: A Viking hybrid equipped with a hefty longsword and a kilt. The Highlander has a defensive stance that is good for countering and an offensive stance that allows you to unleash deadly attacks. Thus, he is difficult to master.
- Gladiator: An assassin knight armed with a trident and a shield. He is lightly armored and very agile.
Both heroes are available for free to all “Season Pass” holders right at launch on August 15th. All other players will have to wait until August 22nd and unlock the heroes for 15,000 Steel each. More info about the two new heroes can be found in the link.
Other new features:
- Additionally, the update introduces two new maps, The Sentinel (a destroyed castle) and The Viking Village (a Viking village). Some maps will also be overhauled and adjusted for the duel mode.
- The equipment level “Legendary” will be introduced, allowing you to further enhance your heroes.
- 9 new territories are added to the world map.
- Duel tournaments are coming with leaderboards. With this, For Honor aims to take the next step regarding competitive play. However, there is a problem, as Ubisoft states. A bug in the duel tournaments has been discovered that requires a fix. Therefore, this new feature is postponed. The issue is expected to be resolved next week.
The tournaments are among the most significant new features of Season 3. Now, for the first time, it has to start without this feature.
