Season 3 of For Honor is coming! The release date and the two new heroes have been revealed: a Highlander and a Gladiator.
The third season of For Honor is on the horizon! This is the second major content delivery so far, introducing new maps, new heroes, and various new features. Today, on August 3rd, Ubisoft presented the new updates.
When does Season 3 of For Honor start? – Launch
It all begins on August 15, 2017! That’s a Tuesday.
Then all players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC will receive the new content for free. However, the two new heroes will only be accessible to “Season Pass” holders without further costs at launch. A week later, on August 21, all players will be able to access the heroes. They will cost 15,000 steel.
Highlander and Gladiator in For Honor
Season 2 of For Honor introduced the Shinobi and the Centurion. Season 3 delivers these two new heroes:
- Highlander: A Viking hybrid with a heavy longsword. It is said to be the heaviest and longest sword of all characters in For Honor, whose weight will be felt in battle. The Highlander has a defensive stance that is good for countering and an offensive stance to unleash deadly attacks. You can always switch between these two stances. The Highlander is said to be difficult to master. By the way: There was a leak months ago that the Highlander would come to the game.
- Gladiator: The Gladiator is a knight assassin armed with a trident. He is said to be fast, ruthless, lightly armored, and reminiscent of a boxer in combat. Gladiators have high stamina and short cooldowns.
These two heroes were just teased today. Detailed information will follow in the near future.
Tournaments and other new features of Season 3
Season 3, which is named “Grudge & Glory,” introduces additional new features alongside the two heroes:
- Two new maps: The Sentinel (a destroyed castle) and The Viking Village (a Viking village)
- Tournaments with the Duel and Ranked modes – this takes For Honor to the next level in terms of competitive play
- A new quality level in gear so you can further improve your heroes. Additionally, it will be easier for beginners to quickly catch up in levels
- Some maps and UI features will be revised. Some traps on the maps will be removed in duels.
There will also be more features to discuss soon. Season 3 will be the largest content update of For Honor so far.
