In For Honor, there are weapons with Heroic quality. How do you obtain these legendary weapons?
You progress with your hero in For Honor by competing in matches and completing orders. This way, you earn experience points, steel, and occasionally loot.
This loot comes in the form of weapon and armor pieces and initially has an equipment value of 1 to 3. Most of these items have only minor stat differences and offer merely variations to skill the character differently.
However: This equipment value goes much higher. The items even have three different quality levels. Besides the standard objects, there are rare items (blue) and heroic items (purple). The maximum equipment value is 18.
Some heroic weapons are marked with a star. These are called “legendary weapons” by some players and are particularly rare.
How to Obtain Higher Quality Weapons
At the beginning of the game, you cannot obtain higher quality weapons yet. You first need to gather enough experience points and exceed level 20. This way, you rise in the glory rank. Information about the glory and level system can be found here.

- You can obtain purple heroic items only from rank 3. According to the YouTuber VopeTV, he received his first heroic weapons at glory 3 and level 13. However, there are also reports that they occur randomly at glory rank 3 even earlier.
The purple “legendary” items with a star, which are at equipment rank 18, are currently the rarest and best items in the game. They come not only with an extravagant appearance but also with excellent stats.
