Fans of the action game For Honor have been waiting a long time for this. But now the release date is set for when the Dedicated Servers will start.
Since the release nearly a year ago, For Honor has been plagued by connection issues, causing many players to lose interest. However, this should change now with the dedicated servers.
On February 19, these will be launched for PC. Console owners will need to wait a bit longer. A launch date for the dedicated servers for PS4 and Xbox One will be announced later.
What the new servers bring
Ubisoft explains what the introduction of these servers entails:
- They will initially be specifically used for PvP modes
- Session migrations and NAT requirements will be completely removed
- A large part of the re-synchronizations will be prevented
- The dedicated servers will provide a more stable connection
- The servers will improve matchmaking
“It was a challenge for us to change the online infrastructure while the game is live. However, we see it as a crucial step for an improved player experience for our community,” said Damien Kieken, Game Director. “The introduction of dedicated servers provides the necessary confidence in the direction the game has taken and thus lays the foundation for another year of continuous support and new content.”

Age of Wolves brings even more
In addition to the dedicated servers, Ubisoft will launch the new Season Age of Wolves on February 15. This brings the following:
- The overhaul of five heroes
- Adjustments to the player
- Optimizations to ranked gameplay
- A 3-week season event with exciting rewards
- New training modes
This is included in Season 5 of For Honor.
