In For Honor we present the key combinations for all combos (actions) of the twelve heroes.
The basics of the combat system in For Honor are learned quickly. At the start of the game, a tutorial shows you how to enter the guard mode, how to execute and parry attacks, how to break through defenses, and how to dodge strikes. You can read about these basics in our beginner guide.
However, the “Art of Battle” is more complex than it may seem at first glance. Each hero has unique traits, hero-specific special attacks, and combos. You can view these in-game by clicking on Customize in the main menu, selecting Heroes, choosing a character, pressing “How to Fight,” and then selecting the action list.
The Combos of All Heroes, Classes, Characters
Each hero has several combos (actions), which may also show symbols alongside the key combinations. These symbols mean, for example, Chain Attack (you must execute the strikes in an uninterrupted sequence) or Unblockable (this attack cannot be blocked).
The meanings of all symbols can be found in this screenshot:
Below you will see the key combinations for the PS4. On Xbox One and PC, you must press the respective equivalents.
- R1 stands for Light Attack
- R2 for Heavy Attack
- Left Stick (L) for Move (in the corresponding direction)
- Right Stick (R) for Weapon Position
- Square for Break Guard
- X for Dodge
- L3 for Sprint
Keep in mind that you need to be in guard mode for most combos.
