Dead Cells is a mix of roguelite, Metroidvania, and action platformer from the French developer studio Motion Twin. It combines gameplay from modern games like Rogue Legacy and Binding of Isaac with classics like Castlevania: SotN.

You play as “The Prisoner” through a castle, aiming to eliminate the island’s king at the end. The 2D battles were inspired by the “Souls” series.

You explore the castle, which has secret rooms and hidden passages, and it changes constantly. The game is non-linear, so you can decide where to go first.
